At RAAJ MEDHUB, we are committed to protecting your personal health information (PHI). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data.
Permissions We Request
RAAJ MEDHUB may request the following device permissions only to support app features:
- Camera (android.permission.CAMERA): Used to scan and capture medical referrals/documents if you choose to take a photo from within the app.
- Photos/Media (Photo Library / Storage access): Used to let you select and upload existing images/documents (such as medical referral letters) from your device.
- Notifications: Used to send appointment reminders, scan updates, and other service notifications (you can disable notifications in your device settings).
- Vibration: Used only to provide haptic feedback for app notifications.
- Internet/Network access: Required for core app functionality such as signing in, syncing your data, and securely communicating with Firebase services.
You can deny these permissions; however, some features (such as uploading your request form) may not work without them.
- Profile Data: Your name, age, phone number, and email.
- Medical Documentation: Images of referrals and medical records that you choose to upload.
- Usage Data: We collect minimal technical data via Firebase for app performance and crash reports to ensure app stability.
- To manage and schedule your medical appointments.
- To provide healthcare professionals at our branches with the necessary medical history for your consults and diagnostic procedures.
- To send appointment reminders and scheduling updates via notifications.
3. Data Storage and Security
- Firebase Encryption: All data is stored using Google’s secure Firebase infrastructure with industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit.
- Local Security: Sensitive session identifiers are stored securely on your device using hardware-backed local storage (Expo SecureStore).
4. Data Retention
We retain your data only as long as needed to provide the clinic services and to meet legal/clinical obligations. You can request the deletion of your account and associated data (subject to any clinic regulatory records retention requirements).
5. Your Rights
You can request a copy of your medical data or ask for the deletion of your account at any time via the settings menu in the RAAJ MEDHUB app.
6. Third-Party Services & Sharing
- Authentication: We use Google Sign-In as an identity provider. When you sign in using your Google account, their use of your information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
- Medical Staff: We do not sell or lease your medical data to third parties. Data is shared exclusively with authorized medical professionals at your chosen branch (Koforidua, Takoradi, or Cape Coast) to facilitate your care.
